HOW IT WORKS
One-on-one lessons are an important supplement to school music programs, youth ensembles, and youth orchestras. Special attention allows students to progress quickly and address key focus areas and skillsets early on in their learning. The studio is an ideal place for new students to grow confident in their musical abilities and prepare them for their future endeavors.
Savannah Violin focuses on private violin lessons for beginner, intermediate and advanced students alike. Instruction provides students the building blocks to succeed by implementing the traditional Suzuki Method. Parent involvement in the learning process is highly encouraged as this holds students accountable and provides a support system for at-home practice.
With the use of recorded and live music, students are taught to demonstrate their understanding of pitch, rhythm, tempo, dynamics, texture form, and style. At the heart of instruction is keeping students inspired and engaged through continuous improvement. Group lessons and concerts occur annually to showcase student progress and serve as a celebration of the hard work it takes to learn new musical works.
Instruction stresses the foundational skills of music reading and theory. Principles of theory are introduced early in the learning process. Additionally, theory and composition tutoring sessions are offered in conjunction with lesson instruction based on each student's tailored program of study.
